SAFETY

Guest safety is RYL Jets' top priority. To best serve passengers, RYL Jets adheres to industry standards, federal regulations, and a series of corporate protocols that exceed mandated safety requirements. RYL Jets implements these additional measures to ensure that every aspect of a flight is safe and secure.

FAA/FAR

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), an agency of the Department of Transportation, regulates and overseas all aspects of civil aviation in the United States. Rules mandated by the FAA, specifically Part 135 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), dictate the operating standards and maintenance requirements for charter aircraft operators.

RYL Jets ensures that all aircraft operators satisfy FAA regulations, as well as RYL Jets' additional safety standards.

Safety categories include:

• Flight operations
• Aircraft and equipment
• Operating limitations
• Weather requirements
• Flight crew requirements
• Crew duty times and limitations
• Crew member testing requirements
• Training
• Airplane performance operating limitations

RYL Jets also has a charter operator pre-screening process that determines whether or not aircraft meet industry and company safety guidelines. Safety audits, insurance coverage, insurance limits, customer service audits, mission options, and aircraft options are all taken into consideration when RYL Jets conducts its due diligence.

As a part of this safety check, RYL Jets verifies:

• Reports from third-party independent safety auditors for operators, aircraft and crew
• The charter operator’s Part 135 operating certificate
• Aircraft ratings and qualifications
• Flight crew’s training
• The aircraft’s liability insurance
• The aircraft tail numbers that the operators are authorized to fly

Pilot Safety and Training

Operator pilots inspect the aircraft to ensure that the engines, controls, instruments, and other systems are functioning properly. Two pilots man each jet and plan the route according to weather conditions and flight traffic.

Pilots uphold the highest regulatory safety standards, including:

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate
• FAA First class medical certificate
• 4,000 hours in a category-specific aircraft
• 4,000 hours as a Pilot-in-Command for a specific aircraft

Quality Control

Every RYL Jets flight adheres to stringent safety protocols. Certified FAA 135 operators maintain control of the aircraft, and RYL Jets tracks flights from takeoff to landing.

To ensure maximum safety and quality, RYL Jets has three checkpoints:

Booking:
• Determine flight feasibility
• Perform legal checks
• Secure the ideal aircraft
• Verify aircraft performance and records
• Ensure operator and aircraft compliance meet all FAA Part 135 regulations

Flight Review:
• Verify safe weather conditions
• Verify any MEL items that may affect customer comfort
• Determine air traffic control plan and communications
• Follow up with appropriate airports and Fixed Base Operators (FBO)
• Provide client with final itinerary

Day of Departure:
• Review weather at departure, en route and at final destination
• Monitor air traffic control updates
• Track flights
• Confirm ground transportation and hotel reservations
• Ensure aircraft and crew are in position
